첩지는 조선시대 왕실과 궁중 여성의 가리마 위에 놓였던 머리 장식입니다. 신분과 의례에 따라 용, 봉황, 개구리 등 서로 다른 형태가 사용되었고, 단정하게 가른 머리의 중심에서 착용자의 위계와 격식을 드러냈습니다. 비녀가 머리를 가로지르고 뒤꽂이가 뒤에서 빛난다면, 첩지는 얼굴과 가장 가까운 정면에서 한국 여성 머리 장식의 중심을 세웁니다.
전통 첩지는 가체나 궁중식 머리 모양과 함께 착용되었습니다. 그러나 현대인이 같은 머리를 매일 재현하기는 어렵습니다. NASCHENKA는 바로 이 간극에서 새로운 첩지를 디자인했습니다. 가체 없이도 가리마 앞에 올리고 양쪽 다리를 머리 뒤로 넘겨 고정할 수 있는 티아라형 구조로, 정수리뿐 아니라 옆머리와 뒤쪽까지 다양한 위치에 착용할 수 있습니다.
이 ‘노가체 첩지’는 전통의 외형을 단순히 편리하게 축소한 제품이 아닙니다. 전통 첩지가 지녔던 정면성, 위엄, 상징을 유지하면서 현대인의 머리 구조와 착용 시간을 고려한 새로운 장신구입니다. NASCHENKA는 이 구조를 독자적으로 발전시켜 디자인으로 등록했으며, 첩지를 특별한 의례의 물건에서 오늘의 헤리티지 티아라로 확장했습니다.
봉황과 용, 떨 장식과 천연석이 더해진 NASCHENKA의 첩지는 얼굴 위에 작은 왕관과 같은 존재감을 만듭니다. 한복 혼례에서는 격식을 완성하고, 현대적인 드레스와 함께하면 한국적 정체성을 지닌 티아라가 됩니다. 정수리, 옆, 뒤로 위치를 바꾸면 같은 작품도 전혀 다른 표정을 보여줍니다.

The cheopji was positioned along the center parting of women in the Joseon royal court. Dragons, phoenixes, frogs, and other forms distinguished rank and ceremony, establishing dignity at the very center of a precisely arranged hairstyle. If the binyeo crosses the hair and the dwikkoji shines from behind, the cheopji creates a focal point at the front, closest to the face.
Historically, a cheopji was worn with gache—elaborate hair arrangements and additions used in court dress. Such styling is difficult to recreate in contemporary life. NASCHENKA began designing within this gap. Our tiara-like structure can be positioned at the front of the parting and secured by guiding its two arms behind the ears, without the need for traditional gache. It may also be placed at the crown, side, or back of the head for different expressions.
This “no-gache cheopji” is not merely a convenient reduction of a traditional object. It preserves the frontal presence, dignity, and symbolism of the cheopji while responding to the structure of the modern head and the realities of contemporary wear. NASCHENKA developed and registered this distinctive design, extending the cheopji from a strictly ceremonial ornament into a Korean heritage tiara for today.
With phoenixes or dragons, trembling elements, and natural stones, a NASCHENKA cheopji creates the presence of a small crown above the face. It completes the formality of a hanbok wedding and becomes a tiara of unmistakably Korean identity when worn with a modern gown. Shifted from crown to side or back, the same piece reveals an entirely different character.
For NASCHENKA, the cheopji demonstrates how tradition can live again when historical form meets contemporary invention. The past must be respected—but tradition returns to life only when it can truly be worn today.
